I have not been watching TV since I started the recording of my CD, some four months ago. Yesterday checked what was on, and luckily there was the Elvis Costello talk show and Diana Krall was guest. She is one of those artists that can make me really moved. It’s not only her musical skills, but also her personality, the way she talks, what she is talking about etc. I think she’s got a lot of depth and insights.
Anyway when she played “Night Train” in the show yesterday I became so happy, digging and clapping hands just like the audience in the studio. Look at it and you’ll understand why.
She also did a great cover together with Elton John – his great song “Sorry seems to be the hardest word”. After that I was inspired and have been trying to learn it. I think it will be on my repertoire soon.
