I read in a pressrelease from DPA (Deutsche Press-Agentur) that the German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle openly critizised Chinese regime for the way it is dealing with Tibet and the lack of press freedom and freedom of speech in China. IT was during talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Friday. This is really good and sends a strong message. I hope more politicians can be straight forward and don’t hide behind closed door talks, which has been the case for many years.
