Since november 2004, when the Epoch Times editorial articles Nine Commentaries On The Communist Party were published, this grassroots movement has grown stronger and stronger. It’s giving the Chinese people a hope for a better future.

One of my songs is actually inspired by the Nine Commentaries and it’s called The Chinese Way.

For the first time Shen Yun had Hong Kong in their tour schedule. The tickets sold out within one week. And now, three days before the first show in Hongkong, Shen Yun Performing Arts has to cancel due to that Visas were denied for six key members of the group. It’s pretty obvious that the Chinese regime put pressure on Hong Kong to do this. It’s really a shame and I feel sorry for the Hong Kong people who now can’t see this great show.

No one can have missed it… Today it’s 20 years ago the Berlin Wall was taken down, and soon after the communist control of Eastern Europe and Russia was lost – and thanks God for that.

So today I am sharing the joy with the German people. At the time 20 years ago, I was not so interested in these kind of things, but now after have been involved in the fight for human rights in China the last decade, I realise that this was a huge moment in history.

On Monday it’s 20 years ago the Berlin Wall was falling. Actually I have mentioned this in one of my songs The Chinese Way. 1989 several positive things happened that finally eliminated the communist rule in Eastern Europe. But in China the development took the opposite direction when tanks were rolling in on Tiananmen Square in Beijing, crushing thousands of freedom fighters. It was in the same year…

The persecution in East Germany has made an impact on me. It was a country very close to my own and the people there have been living in that hard environment for so many years. So close to us, but still so different.

Here are some facts about the victims of the Berlin Wall (Western figures):

• Fugitives: 5,043 people
• Arrested in the border area: 3,221 people
• Killed: 80 people
• Injured by shooting: 118 people
